ExtraFood's annual Volunteer Appreciation Event celebrated the milestone of 1,000,000 pounds of food organized, recovered, and delivered. Held at San Rafael's Fallkirk Cultural Center and hosted by ExtraFood's Operations Manager Annie Molyneux, the event featured speakers Supervisor Damon Connolly and ExtraFood Founder Marv Zauderer, food donated by Il Fornaio, wine donated by Meadowcroft Wines, flowers donated by Paradise Flowers, and marvelous touches by the volunteers of Annie's event committee: Ellen M., Deborah M., Lisa D., and Kamala T. Supervisor Connolly presented ExtraFood Founder Marv Zauderer with a Resolution adopted by the Marin County Board of Supervisors that day, commending ExtraFood on 1,000,000 pounds of food delivered from 160 donors to 87 recipient partners, reaching 5,000 people every month with deliveries of healthy, fresh food.
