Food Recovery in Marin County: By picking up excess fresh food from businesses and immediately delivering it to nonprofits serving Marin’s most vulnerable children, adults, and families, we address the critical issues of hunger, food waste, and global warming.

What We Do

Our mission is to help end hunger and food waste in Marin County.

We do this by picking up donations of excess fresh food from Marin organizations and delivering the food immediately to nonprofit programs that serve Marin's most vulnerable residents. Our focus: the millions of meals that are unaffordable by those residents every year, and all the components of those meals — especially proteins — needed for a healthy answer to hunger.

Does your organization ever have extra food that would ordinarily go to waste? Prepared food? Fruits and vegetables? Dairy or meats? Packaged foods? Or are you part of an organization that's interested in receiving food donations? Are you interested in being a volunteer food runner?
