By rescuing excess fresh food from businesses, securing freshly-made meals, and immediately delivering the food to nonprofits serving Marin’s most vulnerable children, adults, and families, we address the critical issues of hunger, wasted food & climate change.

Community Spotlight: food-donorsTamalpais Community Services District
The mission of the TCSD is to protect and enhance a healthy community in the Tamalpais Valley. Creekside Fridays is their free summer concert event series. It’s a fun community event that is designed for families to come enjoy live music, buy food and beverages, and enjoy their kid’s area which features a bouncy house and face painting. Proceeds go back into the park and recreation community programs and towards fundraisers like 50Kay, which is raising money for their new and recently opened playground.
Each week they have been donating a variety of fruits and veggies, tortellini salad, potato salad, cookies, and the weekly dessert special which all heads over to the People’s Inter-Cities Fellowship Church in Marin City. Thank you TCSD for reaching out to ExtraFood to recover your excess food and thanks to our volunteer, Chris G., for picking up this weekly donation!
