ExtraFood has now recovered and delivered more than 2,000,000 pounds of food for vulnerable children, adults, and families in Marin County.

California State Law AB1826 requires all California businesses that generate a minimum level of organic waste, including food, to recycle—rather than having the waste disposed in our landfills— as of April 1, 2016.
The US Environmental Protection Agency has launched an initiative to engage faith-based congregations in keeping excess edible food and food waste out of our country’s landfills.
