Food Recovery in Marin County: By rescuing excess fresh food from businesses and immediately delivering it to nonprofits serving Marin’s most vulnerable children, adults, and families, we address the critical issues of hunger, wasted food, and global warming.

EPA Launches Initiative To Engage Faith-Based Congregations in Food Recovery
January 19, 2016

The US Environmental Protection Agency has launched an initiative to engage faith-based congregations in keeping excess edible food and food waste out of our country's landfills. By providing resources for food recovery and the Food Steward's Pledge, the EPA intends to raise awareness about the impact of food waste on climate change and provide incentives for religious groups to become part of the solution. Check out the EPA's page for congregations here.
