ExtraFood.org Founding Board Member Heidi Krahling of Insalata's and Marinitas restaurants received a Jefferson Award for her longtime community service in Marin County. Check out the story below, which features her work with ExtraFood. The segment includes an ExtraFood delivery from Insalata's Restaurant by longtime ExtraFood volunteers Janet and Chuck to Warner Creek Senior Housing, an Eden Housing property managed in partnership with Homeward Bound of Marin.

Lani has been with us a little over a year, and in that time has delivered more than 3.5 tons of food! She’s been a regular on a number of trips, and as a native of Hawai’i always brings the aloha spirit—the joyful sharing of life energy—to everything she does. She volunteers on trips going to San Geronimo Presbyterian Church, an important partner for ExtraFood in West Marin. We are grateful for Lani’s wonderful work and feel lucky to have her on the ExtraFood team!
