ExtraFood Working With Food Donor and Recipient Partners to Serve Furloughed Federal Employees in Marin
January 18, 2019

All of us at ExtraFood are heartbroken for the federal employees who are struggling to live without income. We have initiated a variety of efforts to be of service to those employees here in Marin, including publicizing our recipient partners' outreach. Here are the first 2 partners we'd like to share with you; please help spread the word, and come back to this page for updates:

1. West Marin Community Services in Pt. Reyes Station. Their food pantry is open to all, with a wide range of food distributed for free. They also offer emergency help of all kinds. 415-663-8361, M-F 9-12 & 1-5.

2. San Geronimo Valley Community Center in San Geronimo. They will open their food pantry outside of normal pantry hours (M 9-5, Th 2-5) to anyone who serves in the military, or has been affected by the federal shutdown as an employee or spouse. 415-488-8888.

If you have info about federal employees in need, if you're an organization offering to donate food, or if you're an organization planning to serve federal employees in our community, please email us at Giving@ExtraFood.org

Thank you!
