ExtraFood is honored to receive $15,000 from Marinspace to help ExtraFood purchase its first refrigerated truck. This will enable ExtraFood to pick up larger food donations and extend the range of our county-wide food recovery program, eg. to the West Marin coast.

WMSS provides a variety of food programs, an assisted living facility, care management, transportation assistance, home care referrals, family respite care, friendly visiting, and many other services to seniors and others in West Marin. Many of you have met the amazing Chloe, who organized a new food program around our Friday deliveries to the San Geronimo Church, and who organizes all of the food-related programs and much more for WMSS. She and her team work with church members to distribute food there to Valley residents, and they also relay food from the church’s refrigerators to the coast—from Muir Beach to Pt. Reyes to Tomales. WMSS is truly a treasure among the nonprofit organizations in our community. www.wmss.org
