U.S. Congress Enhances Tax Deduction for Organizations Donating Food to Nonprofits

The U.S. Congress made permanent, and enhanced, the tax deduction for organizations donating "wholesome food" to nonprofits. You can see Harvard's excellent summary here and the text of the bill here. Consult your accountant regarding the details of section 170(e)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, which provides this deduction.
