Food Donation Requirements

Thank you for helping ExtraFood recover fresh, surplus food for the community. Before contacting us, please review the requirements below to make sure your donation qualifies for pickup.

Requirements to Donate

Is the donation enough to feed 25+ people in San Francisco or 10+ people in Marin/Sonoma?
Is the prepared food professionally catered and not from a residence?
Was the food chilled or picked up within 2 hours of being taken out of refrigeration?
Are there no liquid donations with a high chance of spilling during transport?
Are you able to bring the donation curbside for pickup by ExtraFood?

Items We Cannot Accept

Food from a residence, including pantry items, home-cooked food, or meal kits
Hot food left out for more than 2 hours

Alcohol
