ExtraFood is proud to partner with Lifehouse, which provides high-quality, personalized residential and direct support services to over 200 individuals with developmental disabilities in Marin and Sonoma counties. Lifehouse’s clients live in their own apartments or homes, with support services ranging from two hours per week to 24-hour care. ExtraFood delivers a lot of prepared food to Lifehouse, as many residents cannot cook for themselves.
Erin, the Office Manager at Lifehouse, shared this lovely story with us about one of their residents. This is why we do what we do, to ensure that vulnerable people in our community have the healthy fresh food they need to thrive.
"This morning we shared with Trevor (ExtraFood Food Recovery Coordinator) this wonderful photo of Dana, one of our clients. His DSP made his entire breakfast from ExtraFood! French Toast bread, fruit, eggs, milk, sausage, and cranberry juice. Look at that smile on his face!
