No One Left Behind

No One Forgotten. No One Left Behind.

At ExtraFood, we believe food is more than sustenance, it’s a way to show up for one another. And every week, at People’s Inter-Cities Fellowship in Marin City, that belief comes to life in the most heartfelt way.

Every Thursday and Sunday, the doors of People’s swing open and the room—once just an ordinary hall—is lovingly transformed into a neighborhood food hub. Lined with fresh vegetables, fruits, eggs, prepared food, and other healthy staples from ExtraFood, this grassroots pantry becomes a lifeline for over 130 community members each week.

At the center of it all are Pastor Marcus Small and his dedicated team. People whose hearts beat for their community. They know the stories, the struggles, and the strength of those they serve. When someone can’t make it in, Pastor Small or a team member delivers food to their door, no questions asked. When someone quietly slips through the cracks—losing a job, a home, or hope—they notice. And together, they respond with care, dignity, and unwavering support.

One woman recently shared that she had been evicted. She had nowhere to go, no clear next step. But Pastor Small and his team didn’t let her go unseen. They checked in on her regularly and made sure she had the food she needed while trying to rebuild her life. “I don’t know what I would’ve done without them,” she told us. “They’ve been my safety net.”

This is what partnership looks like. This is what dignity looks like. And this is why ExtraFood exists, to ensure that good food reaches the hands of people who need it most, through trusted, loving community leaders like Pastor Small and the team at People’s Inter-Cities Fellowship.

Because at the end of the day, our work isn’t just about food. It’s about making sure no one feels forgotten. It’s about seeing people in their hardest moments and reminding them they matter.
