David and Kayla are no strangers to using food to tell a bigger story.
As the co-founders of the now-closed San Francisco restaurant Shuggie's, they created a dining experience centered around sustainability, food waste, creativity, and climate solutions. Their work challenged diners to see food differently—and to recognize the possibilities in ingredients that might otherwise be thrown away.
That philosophy makes them the perfect partners for ExtraFood.
At A Taste of Hope, David and Kayla will create a special menu using ingredients rescued by ExtraFood, transforming surplus food into an incredible culinary experience.
It's a delicious demonstration of what we believe every day at ExtraFood: good food should feed people, not landfills.
