Recipient Spotlight: Marin Valley Mobile Country Club
If you've ever met Jill Boland, you know she's a force of nature. Organized, kind-hearted, and deeply committed to making sure no one goes hungry, Jill is the driving force behind an incredible community effort at Marin Valley Mobile Country Club.
Their team not only operates an impressive food distribution program for residents, but also prepares bagged deliveries for neighbors who are homebound or have disabilities. Any remaining food doesn't go to waste, it is shared with the Rapid Response Network, helping reach families in San Rafael's Canal District.
Jill and her team’s impact doesn't stop there. They created a “box depot” where ExtraFood volunteers can pick up extra boxes for food rescues to make it easier on them. The community also collects cans and donates the redemption value to ExtraFood. They truly exemplify what community leadership looks like. Her dedication, generosity, and creativity strengthen not only her own community, but the entire ExtraFood network. We are incredibly grateful to have her as part of the ExtraFood family.
