Volunteer Spotlight: Michele F.
If you've ever wondered what it looks like to have "too much rescued food," just take a peek inside Michele F.'s car. More than once it's been so packed with cookies, donuts, and other rescued goodies that a few treats have made a break for it when she opened the door! Michele has been rescuing food for over a decade, first joining Food Runners back in 2015, and she's still going strong with her Gus's Noriega, Whole Foods Ocean Avenue, and Whole Foods Stonestown routes.
She loves delivering to Lance at Self Help for the Elderly and Luanne at Corpus Christi, where she knows every rescue makes a difference. Thank you, Michele, for 10+ years of saying "yes" to food rescue, for always going the extra mile, and for keeping cookies, donuts, and thousands of pounds of good food out of the landfill... even if a few have tried to escape along the way!
